The concerns and cares from everyone continue to flow like water.
As for this blog, I am astounded at the impact that my small words seem to make.
But now I'm going to let you in on a secret!
Come Closer...
Closer...
Er... Too close. ;-)
What I write here has no meaning or value. It is simply words on a page. My strength, my will, my ability to keep going. I have nothing to do with it. There is nothing special about me.
There is simply one answer. There is only one reason that allows me to continue on my path.
God
He provides what I need to continue on. His holy spirit dwells inside me and provides all that I require.
As a Believer in Christ, I can be confident in the promises God has made to me:
- "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" ~Philippians 4:13
- "It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. ~Psalm 18:32
- "...Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." ~Joshua 1:9
- "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped." ~Psalm 28:7
"Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.
The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation." ~Isaiah 12:2
As a young Christian I want so badly to do God's work. However, I never seem to know where or how to start. I am now beginning to see that it isn't up to me. God has his purpose for me and will work through me. I need only to be faithful. I will simply keep praying that the Lord will continue to use this situation as a way to Glorify him.
Thought of the night:
It's not about me

Amen! You always know the right words to say :)
Hey Nick, It's Mrs. Lombardo.
I was shocked to hear the news, and my prayers have been with you since. I am so happy that you set up this website, it is so "Nick-like" of you! this week my best friend's husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. originally we thought it was lymphoma, weird how I heard about you immediately after. Many of us at DPHS are praying for you, Mr. Abrams, Mrs Wallace and I especially! Keep sining! It will help to give you strength! Love you!
Okay, so I meant keep SINGING! I should have checked that before I sent it. sorry!
Hi, I'm a friend of Mrs. Lombardo and she emailed me about you and asked me to keep you in my prayers. I read your blogs and I have to say that you are absolutely amazing. You really are a role model for those in the same position as you. I truly hope the best for you!!
Jeannine :)
Nick,
You are carrying out God's work just by being you and the inspiration you are to so many already. My mother and I talk everynight about how your example gives us the strenght and faith to do anything. As more people share in your unbelievable faith, you are a powerful messanger without even knowing it.
Love You Cuz!
Love ya', buddy...I'm so glad you're close to the Lord and can relax in his strength in this situation! I pray your example will help to lead others who are suffering into God's arms. On that note, if you're ever bored, swing over to http://www.liquidchurch.com for some great MP3 sermons! The current series is on prayer, and I think you'll like it!
Ciao for now, brother...
